New exhibit: "The Industrial Worker" opens 1. May 2010
The Industrial Worker tells the story of five workers' everyday, working and social life from 1950 until the present day. When women started taking jobs as industrial workers during the 1960s, this led to changes in both community life and family structures.
Industrial workers' attitudes to issues such as solidarity and the environment have also undergone radical changes.
We hope that nobody leaves the exhibition without thinking about how daily life and life in general have been affected by the industrial worker's fight for rights. In many countries, the young generation of industrial workers are children. What should we think about that?
